Colour Pigments

In order to achieve the optimum development of colour pigments in a cosmetic product, the homogenisation plants have to carry out several production steps in a highly efficient and seamless manner. In principle, colour pigments are integrated into substances and mixtures with different characteristics.

Modern process plants can take over the melting of fats, the suction and dispersing of powders (e.g. pigment grinding), as well as homogenisation at optimally controlled temperatures. Special heatable pipes in the agitators prevent the clogging of solid components, thereby reducing consumption and production costs. Processes for the dust-reduced suction and incorporation of powders enable clean procedures and consistently stable product masses. The pressure and vacuum-proof machine designs of modern process plants guarantee that the production processes are carried out in a protective atmosphere.

With agitators and homogenisers that are specially designed beforehand, optimal incorporation of the colour pigments into the respective basic cosmetic substance can be achieved. Parallel to this, possibilities for reduction of the particle size are achieved while simultaneously increasing the particle surface, thereby ensuring the best possible development of the colour pigments. CIP-cleaning devices integrated into the lid of the homogenising mixer ensure highly efficient cleaning of the plant, shorter production time and production according to current GMP regulations.
