Overview<\/h3>\n<p>We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website, to answer your inquiries or \u2013 with your consent \u2013 to measure website usage and the success of our advertising. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally, e.g. your name, email address or IP address.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Hosting and server log files<\/h3>\n<p>Our website is hosted by an external IT service provider in Germany. When you access the website, the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser and stores it in so-called server log files:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IP address of the requesting device<\/li>\n<li>date and time of access<\/li>\n<li>page or file requested, amount of data transferred and HTTP status code<\/li>\n<li>referrer URL (previously visited page)<\/li>\n<li>browser type and version, operating system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. The data is not combined with other data sources. Log files are deleted automatically after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Protection of the login area:<\/strong> To protect the editorial access to our website against unauthorised login attempts, we use the WordPress plugin \u201cLimit Login Attempts Reloaded\u201d. In the event of failed login attempts on the login page, the IP address, the username entered and the time are stored on our server. After several failed attempts, the IP address is temporarily blocked. The plugin runs exclusively on our server; this data is not transferred to the plugin provider or to any other third parties. Ordinary visitors to our website are not affected, as they do not use the login area. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for this purpose.<\/p>\n<h3>4. SSL\/TLS encryption<\/h3>\n<p>For security reasons, this website uses SSL\/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by \u201chttps:\/\/\u201d and the lock icon in your browser&#8217;s address bar. Data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Cookies and consent management<\/h3>\n<p>Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device. We distinguish between:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strictly necessary cookies:<\/strong> These are required to operate the website, e.g. to store your language selection (cookie <code>wp-wpml_current_language<\/code>) and your cookie decision (cookie <code>svt_consent<\/code>, stored for 12 months). In addition, on your first visit the language setting of your browser is evaluated so that you automatically see the matching language version (or the English version if your language is not available). This evaluation takes place locally in your browser only; to ensure the automatic selection happens just once, we set the cookie <code>svt_lang<\/code> (stored for 12 months), which contains no personal data. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Analytics and marketing cookies:<\/strong> We only use these if you click \u201cAccept\u201d in the cookie banner (see sections 8, 9 and 10). The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. As long as you have not consented, no Google or Microsoft services are loaded.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Withdrawal:<\/strong> You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking \u201c<a href=\"#cookie-settings\">Cookie settings<\/a>\u201d at the bottom of the page and selecting \u201cDecline\u201d. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Contacting us and contact form<\/h3>\n<p>If you contact us via the contact form, email or telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, your message and the selected machine or service) in order to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. Mandatory fields are marked in the form.<\/p>\n<p>The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures (e.g. a quotation for a machine), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries). To protect against spam, our forms use a simple arithmetic question and a hidden check field that you do not see. Both are evaluated on our own server; no data is transferred to third parties.<\/p>\n<p>We delete your data once your inquiry has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. 6 or 10 years under German commercial and tax law for business correspondence).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Service request with file upload:<\/strong> Our \u201cService request\u201d form also lets you upload photos or documents (JPG, PNG or PDF, max. 10 MB per file), for example pictures of a faulty machine. We use these files solely to process your service request. When you submit the form, they are temporarily stored on our server, sent to us as an attachment to the email and then automatically deleted from the server. Please upload only files needed for the service request and no personal data of third parties. The legal basis and storage period are as described above.<\/p>\n<h3>7. Newsletter<\/h3>\n<p>If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address (and your name, if provided) to send you regular information about our machines and services. Subscription uses a double opt-in procedure: you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. We store the time of subscription and confirmation in order to be able to prove it.<\/p>\n<p>The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter or by sending a message to i&#110;f&#111;&#64;&#115;-&#118;&#116;.ne&#116;. After unsubscribing, your address is removed from the mailing list. The newsletter is sent via our own system on our web server.<\/p>\n<h3>8. Google Analytics 4<\/h3>\n<p>With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (\u201cGoogle\u201d). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how our website is used, e.g. pages visited, time spent, approximate location (country\/city), device type, browser and the source of the visit. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; they are only processed briefly to determine the approximate location. We also measure whether a contact form has been submitted successfully.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose is to analyse and improve our website. The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The data is deleted after the retention period set in Google Analytics (maximum 14 months). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.<\/p>\n<h3>9. Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing<\/h3>\n<p>We advertise via Google Ads (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). With your consent, we use Google Ads conversion tracking: if you click on one of our ads and then send us an inquiry via the contact form on our website, Google and we can recognise that the click led to an inquiry. We only receive statistical reports (e.g. the total number of inquiries from ads), not information that identifies you personally.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, visitors to our website may be added to remarketing lists so that we can later show them relevant ads for our machines in Google Search or the Google advertising network.<\/p>\n<p>The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use Google Consent Mode so that Google respects your cookie decision. Microsoft Advertising (UET conversion tracking)<\/h3>\n<p>We also run ads via Microsoft Advertising (provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland). With your consent, we use Microsoft&#8217;s Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag for this purpose. If you reach our website via an ad in Bing search or the Microsoft advertising network, a cookie is set (e.g. <code>_uetsid<\/code>, <code>_uetvid<\/code>, <code>MUID<\/code>). This allows Microsoft and us to recognise that someone clicked on an ad and then sent an enquiry via our contact form. We only receive statistical evaluations, no information that could identify you personally. Both companies are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Google and Microsoft have concluded EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).<\/p>\n<h3>12. Fonts<\/h3>\n<p>The fonts used on this website (Open Sans, Titillium Web, Raleway, Inter) are hosted locally on our server. No connection to Google or other third-party servers is established to load fonts when you visit the website.<\/p>\n<h3>13.
