How we help with a breakdown

  1. Report the case: via our service request form or by phone. Type, fault description and photos help us prepare.
  2. Initial assessment: together we decide whether an on-site repair or a factory overhaul in Weyhe makes more sense.
  3. Preparation: we plan technicians, tools and the spare parts needed.
  4. Repair: we repair the machine and check that it works.
  5. Recommendation: on request, we show you how planned maintenance can prevent similar failures.

After a crash: rotor, stator and shaft

If a foreign body gets between the teeth of rotor and stator, a crash can occur and the teeth are damaged. Rotor, stator and shaft then have to be replaced. For many homogenisers we supply matching spare parts – rotor, stator and shaft – and fit them on request. The easiest way to send your enquiry with type, year of manufacture and photos is our service request form.

Damaged homogeniser dispersing rotor with labyrinth toothing after a crash with bent teeth and grinding marks
Dispersing rotor with labyrinth toothing after a crash: a foreign body has bent and sheared off several teeth. Clear grinding marks on the teeth show that rotor and stator came into contact.
Damaged homogeniser stator after a crash, removed from the machine, with deformed teeth and grinding marks
Stator from the same machine, removed: the teeth are deformed all the way round and show grinding marks from contact with the rotor.

Typical faults

Homogeniser & agitator

  • Leakage at the mechanical seal
  • Noise, vibration or increased temperature
  • Declining homogenising performance

Drive & plant

  • Drive failure or overload
  • Problems with vacuum, temperature control or valves
  • Control system faults

The sooner you tell us the type, year and fault, the better we can prepare the visit.
